Supporting Children With Cancer Care Since 2009

NAAIC is a non-profit organization creating change in the lives of children affected with cancer in India and around the subcontinent.

In 2009, a group of individuals in the USA came together with the goal of setting up a world-class medical facility in New Delhi, India, to serve the Southeast Asian community. To help start this initiative, a nonprofit organization - American & Asian Indian Charitable Trust (NAAIC)—has been formed in India as well as in the United States.

Our vision, mission, values, and strategy are very much a part of NAAIC principles and are consistent with our strategic priorities.

Our Story

2009,

a close-knit group of Indian immigrants in America came together with the goal of setting up a world class medical facility in New Delhi, India, to serve the Southeast Asian community. To help start this initiative, a nonprofit organization - American & Asian Indian Charitable Trust (AAICT) was formed in India as well as in Memphis, Tennessee, United States of America. While ongoing advances in medical and oncologic technology have significantly improved childhood cancer survival rates in developed countries like the United States, the situation in India remains starkly different. Due to healthcare disparities and other challenges, only 20% of children in India benefit from these new oncologic treatments.

Our vision is to create change in the lives of children affected with cancer in India and around the subcontinent, the decision to form a U.S. based organization is to promote the mission of AAICT in India by raising funds, getting people involved, and promoting awareness of the situation in the subcontinent.

With over 50 children helped in the past 15 years, AAICT has also undergone tremendous change in order to keep current with medical standards, societal perspectives, and the evergrowing need to battle childhood cancer. Among such changes, AAICT name was changed to the North American and Asian Indian Corporation (NAAIC) to maintain clarity and transparency. However, the mission remains the same. NAAIC's primary mission is to pool resources, identify and establish healthcare support systems in India, and provide essential assistance to children and families grappling with the challenges of childhood cancer.

At NAAIC, our members and donors are dedicated to breaking down these barriers, aiming to offer support and hope to those facing seemingly insurmountable challenges back home.

Our Goals

This US-based organization works to advance the mission of NAAIC in India by raising funds, engaging supporters, and increasing awareness of the challenges faced by children with cancer, particularly those from families below the poverty line.

Initially, the focus is on sponsoring children in India diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia who cannot afford treatment. Support will cover medical care, prescription medications, proper nutrition, and accommodations for immediate family members during treatment, ensuring that financial hardship does not prevent lifesaving care.

In the long term, the organization aims to establish a nonprofit children’s hospital in India that provides world-class care to terminally ill children across the region. Partnerships with leading children’s cancer hospitals in the United States will help bring advanced treatment techniques and specialized training to Indian healthcare professionals, strengthening the quality of care for young patients in need.
